Reading guide to the official GLightOne Base v1.3 manual. This page summarizes its documented functions and controls; the complete manual provides installation details, limitations and warnings.
GLightOne Base
GLightOne Base is an autonomous lighting-control module for 12 V automotive systems. It responds to physical vehicle inputs and controls LED lighting. TFT Lite is optional; base operation does not depend on the screen.
Documented lighting functions
Sequences / DIR
Responds to the local turn-signal input with directional sequences. While DIR owns MODE, a short press changes the sequence and a held press changes its speed.
Welcome
Welcome behavior is selected with a held MODE press in NORMAL context. Available visual profiles depend on firmware and installation.
DRL / POS
DRL_SW is the 12 V physical control for DRL. POS is a vehicle-lighting-state reference that may change brightness or presence behavior according to firmware.
STOP / Brake
The local STOP input controls the dedicated OUT STOP low-side output. Brake response is updated locally and continuously; it does not wait for a directional sequence to finish.
REV / Reverse
The local REV input controls the dedicated OUT REV low-side output. Reverse activation does not depend on a remote SYNC state packet.
The manual names STOP references OEM Solid, Reactor Pressure and GLight Dual Core, and REV references OEM Solid, Reactor Guidance and Alien Horizon. These examples do not define a fixed maximum number of profiles.
Electrical connections
LED outputs control the negative / GND side of their loads; they do not supply +12 V. Loads require their appropriate positive supply. MODE is a momentary button to GND; DRL_SW is an ON/OFF control to +12 V. SYNC is a signal line, requires common GND and must never receive +12 V. Check the exact hardware revision and official pinout before wiring.
MODE button
| Active context | Short press | Held / multiple presses |
|---|---|---|
| REV active | Next REV profile | Ignored |
| REV off; DIR active | Next directional sequence | Held: next speed level. Auxiliary multiple presses ignored. |
| REV and DIR off; STOP active | Next STOP profile | Ignored |
| NORMAL | One: DRL. Two: EXP / Angel. Three: Emergency cycle, including OFF. | Held: Welcome |
MODE context priority is REV > DIR > STOP > NORMAL. This routes button commands; STOP, REV and DIR can coexist physically. DIR context may be detected locally or through a compatible synchronized companion. Remote DIR detection changes button context only: the local turn signal still requires local DIR_IN.
Synchronization
SYNC coordinates compatible profile selections and sequence speed. The actual activation of DIR, STOP and REV remains local to each module. Standard modules share the base hardware and firmware; the Master normally receives MODE and DRL_SW. Validate each lamp zone and left/right assignment on the real installation.
